About Me
Hey there, my name is Philip. I am studying sport sciences in Cologne. I love meeting people from all over the world, broaden my horizon, exchange perspectives on life and I am always prepared to be amazed.
As for now, I can look back on two bigger trips: I worked and travelled in Australia upon finishing high school and did one exchange semester in London, Ontario, Canada. All the other countries I have visited were rather short trips. I am planning to go overseas in August again before starting my masters but cannot really decide where I want to go... Any suggestions? :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I read Tomislav Perko's book "1000 days of spring" and was amazed how he wrote about the many great moments he shared with poeple from all over the world either crushing at their place or being the host. I feel like I would like to have my own stories to tell about encounters with travellers and folks with other nationalities, religious backgrounds and different perspectives on life.
I have always enjoyed to randomly bump into random people at a random hostel at the other end of the world, hear their stories, discuss attitudes towards this and that and just have a good time.
I'm thinking that couchsurfing could be an amazing opportunity to experience all that!
Interests
I am fascinated by the human body and movement with all its facettes. I have been practicing different sports and movement patterns for my entire life and never want to stop exploring new ones! I am always open for movement conversations, jams and to learn new stuff :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
TWO THINGS!
1)
Literally piloting a Cessna in a very hungovered state after a cast-away experience at Australia's East Coast despite my anxiety of flying.
2)
This may sound weird or rather obvious but I think one of the most amazing things I have done is having realized that I am living in this body that allows me to flip, to crawl, to hang, to run, to swim, to climb... - it allows me to MOVE. I think this is something that I took for granted for a long time and that I did not appreciate enough.
Teach, Learn, Share
Movement student and teacher - let us exchange!
I have recently discovered my interest in meditation but only dug into it superficially - if you have some expertise there, I would love to learn more about it!
