About Me
Hey there :) my name is Philip from Dortmund, Germany and currently in Canada for my working holiday year.
After spending the winter season in Revelstoke, BC, I´m now about to travel around the Island for a couple of weeks and I´m excited to meet some local couchsurfer. I only had two couchsurfing experiences so far but those were great and made me keen for more !
I am a positiv-minded, respectful person and happy about everything that you want to share with me. So I´d be grateful if we would spend some time together, showing me around the area, cooking, talking whatever I´m an easy going person :) If you don´t have time and only can offer the couch, I´m more than happy as well. I respect your space and rules and want you to notice me as least as possible.
I love to be outside, hikking, swimming, bouldering or just throwing a frisbee on a nice day at a park. I’ll hopefully be climbing the majority of my summer, as that became my second biggest passion beside snowboarding over the last two years.
Otherwise I guess I’m pretty “normal” and just love being around people talking, amateurish philosophizing and sharing experiences and motives of life. In my opinion you need to experience other perspectives to get to know yourself better and to know what you want for yourself. As much as I enjoy travelling alone, there is nothing better than to experience new things with someone you can share your memories with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting locals
Meeting locals is obviously the most attractive part of the couchsurfing idea. Nobody knows their area better than the people of the area with all his secrets and hidden gems. If I visit a country I want to get to know the people of the area to better understand how they live and their lifes look like. I am keen to hear anything about your country, your culture and thoughts of the world but also would be happy to share my experiences and thoughts of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first experience abroad in Vancouver. Made a high-school exchange and it was just a blast ! Vancouver is always worth a visit, winter and summer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am kind of living my life after the karma ideas. I strongly believe if you do good things, good things will happen to you. Dont do anything to people, what you would not want to experience on your own.
Don´t treat others, how you don´t want to be treated.
If you feel alone, raise your head, there are always people around. You might not know them yet but they will listen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer my open-minded, funny personality for relaxed times and good conversations. I can also teach you how to juggle and make great pancakes :)
