About Me

CURRENT MISSION

looking for something that makes me tick

ABOUT ME

I'm a 30-year old guy from Colombia, currently working as an English teacher at a primary school in Pamplona, Spain, where I have been living for the past four and a half years.

Overall I'd like to think of myself as a relaxed, laid-back kind of guy. You might think of me as the shy, quiet guy in a group of friends, but once I get to break the ice people find me quite friendly.

I love travelling whenever I can, photography, and going to the movies. I'd rather chill out with friends at a bar or dinner out while having a conversation than clubbing. Still, that doesn't mean I can't go to a disco every now and then.

PHILOSOPHY

it could be summed up in one sentence: live and let live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I'm not able to offer a couch at the moment, not because I don't want to but because I live with my parents and a sister, who are not exactly keen on hosting other people. Howeer, I can always show you around the city and have some drinks while talking about anything. I could even help you with your Spanish (or English)!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I haven't had any, but looking forward to do so the best way I can. I wish I could host anyone coming to Pamplona but as I've said above, I can't host anyone at the moment.

Interests

Travelling whenever I can afford it (both in terms of time and money), taking photos at things I'm interested at, James Bond films, listening to pop/rock music from the 70s till present, having a relaxed conversation in a café/bar, reading about people who've made things their way, taking strolls with no particular destination, lying on the grass and enyoing the sunshine, reading the newspaper while sitting on a bench, making silly jokes (a camel walks into a bar and the bartender asks: "why the long face"), and that's pretty much about it

Music, Movies, and Books

action/comedy flicks. I've been a huge fan of the James Bond series since I was 8
pop/rock music: from Beatles to Franz Ferdinand, with Spanish pop music in between.
Books: biographies, all things related to espionage. I like Frederick Forsyth books. However, I'll have to admit that I haven't read that much lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eight years ago I won two trips to London, each one on different contests but both on the same radio show. I guess someone stuck a clover on my butt that year, otherwise I can't explain how I got so lucky!

Teach, Learn, Share

On the other hand, and just as Socrates said, "I know that I know nothing" (or was it Plato? Damn, I shouldn't have fallen asleep in all those philosophy classes at high school!! lol). I have a great deal of things I should learn and practice, from learning to cooking. So I'm open to learning anything you're willing to teach me.

Having said that, I'm really interested in learning some cooking and photography. In exchange I could help you with your Spanish :-) (and, even though I'm not a native speaker, I could help you with your English too if you're not native)

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Germany, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United Kingdom
