i work as a solar (thermal) engineer, doing some r&d and some practical project work. that's both for money and for real conviction.

PHILOSOPHY

i have survived cancer, some surgeries and therapies in 2004. that has changed my whole attitude a lot.
the best thing: now i am healthy and alive!
indeed, very lively! :-)

how to describe my personal philosophy here? in short, that's difficult...
i am quite open-minded, like meeting people from all over the world. i love to enjoy life and do everything i do with full intensity (also talking about my way of working...).
cancer showed me that my life is really short, every single day is a gift! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i can host 1 to 2 couch surfers anytime when i am in graz; i am on business trips, in the mountains or seeing my girlfriend who lives outside graz quite frequently.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have always had friends staying in my places and me staying in their homes, but that was before i got to know this website.
so, lot of couchsurfing experience, but no www.couchsurfing.com experience (neither as a guest nor as a host).
looking forward to having guests!

Interests

i love spending time outdoor wandering, going to the mountains, climbing, skiing. and especially cycling
as you can see from my profile, i like travelling, meeting people, getting to know different ways of living life, seeing different landscapes.
and i also like cooking (and inviting people to eat), so i am prepared to either cook for you (esp. italian food), or cook some new food together (bring your ideas! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

music is so important for me! both listening to music and playing music.
as for playing music: i currently play the djembe and am learning to play the congas - that's great! to me, music is the best drug on earth. great effect, turn it on and off as you like, no harmful side effects. :-)
