Overview
About Me
Hi everybody! Me and my best friend Geneviève are from Montréal (Québec) and are travelling down to Louisiana for two weeks to discover its unique culture and nature. Our main interests are to talk to strangers and get to know people as we would do back home, get a look at the musical and artistic scene, learn about the history of Louisiana, go on walk and hikes, and meet some members of the French speaking community (and try to understand each other's dialects!).
We are pretty easy going, respectful, talkative but not invasive, curious, and we both value communication as a means to understand each other and avoid conflict.
We can share a bed or even sleep on the floor on our mats. What matters most is that we can get full nights of sleep and not be waken up by too much noise early in the morning (but we have earplugs).
When couchsurfing, we like to share food and drinks and offer our host an experience as well.
Looking forward to meet you! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I don't really care about landmarks and museums. I travel for people! I need to meet locals or people who know the place, and see everything with a different eye. I think everyone we meet has something to teach us.
Interests
I love learning languages! I also like learning about other people's interests to discover things I would have never thought of disovering on my own. I gladly share mine as well, especially in the kitchen (i love cooking, but I also chat when I cook).

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into science-fiction books and movies. My all-time favorite though is the Lord of the Rings, and then all of the Star Trek series. I enjoyed reading Isaac Asimov as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning Irish Gaelic in four months and passing on Irish radio three times in two months. Beware, Irish grammar is hazardous and can cause (self-)destructive thoughts, but it's worth the suffering! (Letters dissapearing and appearing in random places, damn it!) (geeks will understand)
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything that can be shared!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook in exchange for a place to stay. I can cook dinner and make snacks all the time. I can also help hosts learn whatever language they want to practice or learn. Also, any other of my skills that I can share, it would be a pleasure. I love exchanging knowledge.
