Hi, I'm Phil! I was born and grew up in New York. In May of 2019 I moved to Seattle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to go on a backpacking trip every year. So far I have done a European, Central American, Philippine, and rest of Asia trip. I have used Couchsurfing countless times in my travels and would like to give back to the community.

Interests

Other than traveling, I like to play golf, ski and hike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently my favorite music is house music, my favorite movie is Inception, and my favorite book is Catcher in the Rye.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job in May 2016 to do a backpacking trip around Europe. A couple of amazing things I did on this trip are: hiking a part of El Camino de Santiago, having beers at the Berlin wall, and hitchhiking through Croatia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of New York City. Visiting friends and family always enjoy when I take them around NYC. They like the recommendations of food and activities that I give.

I would like to learn more about Seattle since I just moved here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to spend time with the hosts and not necessarily treat CS as a free accommodation site, although I understand that sometimes it is not possible for the host to hang out. Generally whenever I hang out with hosts and other CS, we all have a good time.
