Overview
About Me
Quiet unless feeling comfortable in a group. I tend to keep to myself sometimes too and I particularly enjoy silence. However, I do enjoy the company of other people but I do not feel the need to talk every single time I am with my friends. The mere sight of them being near me is enough to satisfy my social needs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here mostly to meet speakers of the languages I'm interested in. Cultural experiences usually come second to my language goals. If I do get to help someone learn about where I live, then that's a bonus.
Interests
Most of the time, you will see me digging myself into language books. I am an absolute fan of learning languages. Whenever I get to get my hands on a book, particularly books that are about Indo-European languages, I get all tingly inside. Besides that, I also like to talk about what I observe in an everyday setting. I ask a lot about the customs of people. Sometimes I annoy people with my whys and whats and the way that I ask, but I do have to say that I learn a lot from it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being able to go to a country without knowing the language or anyone. I had an absolutely fresh start when I went to Brazil because there was no one I knew and I could barely speak the language. But just after a few months of living there, I could safely say that I was thriving in my new environment. I was even able to make some new friends and travel around to learn a little more about Brazil.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If it's a language immersion that you crave, then I can definitely help in that aspect. I've taught English, Tagalog, Portuguese and some Mandarin professionally.
