Hi! I'm Philipp, a guy from Germany who loves to meet new people! I'm currently on my trip around the world (I want to go to every country) and although I love the hotels I get to stay at on my work trips, I've found that I enjoy the local vibe and interactions a lot more!

I basically have two personalities:
1. The fancy guy and start-up co-founder that studied business administration and goes to the gym every morning. This side of me has a privat pilot’s license and also works as a part-time flight attendant for a German leisure carrier so I get to fly around the world pretty much every week.
2. The backpacker that tries to visit new countries on a budget. I love the communities in hostels, do spontaneous trips and use Couchsurfing to make friends around the world!

A few important facts about me:
I love economy! I have a bachelor's degree in business administration and actually used to create TikTok Videos about economy in Portuguese because I really think that the missing financial education (specifically in Brazil in this case) is a major problem (and I love to help).

One of my big passions is aviation. I love airplanes, work as a flight attendant and I even have a private pilot's license myself :)

Lastly, I LOVE making (and eating) pizza! I've mastered my pizza-skills in the last couple of years, and there's not much that I enjoy more than making family and friends smile with good pizza!

By the way: Unfortunately, I can't host surfers I haven't met before at the moment, since I don't have my own apartment and my flatmate doesn't feel comfortable with it. :/
I hope I'll be able to host soon, though!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm looking for a relaxing two weeks on the beach, I'm most likely going to choose a hotel. When I, however, visit a place (alone), to really experience the local culture, understand the people's habits, get to know the differences between our lives, and make new friends, I feel like Couchsurfing is the best place to go!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Latin American music. Be it Spanish Reggaetón or Portuguese Forró, I will probably vibe with it :P

When it comes to books, I only read finance/investment related books every once in a while. So mostly to learn new things, not to be entertained.

And movies... If I had to choose one, it would probably be something like The Big Short or The Wolf of Wall Street, but as long as it's a more or less funny movie, I will probably enjoy it :) I don't really watch too many movies or TV shows, though.

I can teach you everything you need to know about investing money, economy, businesses, maybe even help you out creating your own strategy if you want.

Also, I can cook pretty well. I've mastered Pizza making in the last couple of years and if you have an oven, and we can find the right ingredients, we can absolutely make a Pizza-Evening at your place!
