About Me

I'm a designer, artist and musician trying to see a little bit of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in other cultures and the people living in it; I want to discover the food, the sense of humour, the secret hidden places. Therefore I prefer couchsurfing instead of sleeping in hostels or other tourist stuff because it gives me better possibilities to get out of the tourist zone and into the real, everyday world of the country I'm visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since being a musician myself, I'm interested in many kinds of music. The weirder it gets, the better. From Heavy Metal to Psytrance, from Techno to Classical Music, from Avantgarde to Psychedelic Rock. I'm always in search for new stuff, so meeting people from foreign countries is always an enriching possibility to discover new local Folk Music or underground bands.

I've got some passion for movie history, so I've got more favourite movies than I could name. Favourite directors: Sergio Leone, Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Sergio Corbucci, Enzo G. Castellari, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, George A. Romero, Lars von Trier, Tim Burton, John Carpenter.

Concerning books I love the works of Hermann Hesse, Franz Kafka, H. P. Lovecraft, Salvador Dalí, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Max Frisch, J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen King and many others.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking – one of the most important things about discovering a new country ;] I like to learn about traditional food of the country I'm visiting and I love to show other people traditional food from my home country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beer, food, maybe some paintings for your apartement walls.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, United States
