About Me

I am living and working in Dresden and I like getting into contact with new people. In my free time, I like traveling around all over Germany and its neighboring countries with my bike, but to get to know other countries and cultures, I leave my bike at home.

I am really interested in getting to know the people I meet - so if you visit me or if you are my host, I will try to spend time with you and talk with you about basically everything. I am pretty open-minded and always interested in learning new things and getting to know other perspectives on the world. Since I don't know what you are interested in, I sometimes might seem a little cautious about myself in the beginning. Don't worry about that - if you ask me, I will tell you about all my interests with enthusiasm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I visit cities, I want to meet locals to experience how they see them. For me, this seems to be the best way to discover new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling alone in India for 5 weeks was definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever done. I met so many amazing people, learned so much about the country, the culture and its people - I cannot describe this adventure in a few sentences...

I hitchhiked from Turkey to Germany with stops in Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary: it was an amazing experience with so many nice, interesting and hospitable people who not only hosted me, spent an evening with me or took me with them but also were fascinated by the trip and how it is possible to travel like this.

I also travelled around with my bike in several parts of Germany: I made my way up the Elbe river from Dresden to Hamburg and cycled along the Polish-German border up to the Baltic Sea. It was an amazing way to see many facets of the landscape, visit beautiful places and getting to know nice and interesting people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always interested in talks about every possible topic. I am of the opinion that another view on the world always offers me the possibility to question my own perspective and learn a lot. For me, learning and getting to know new things is an important thing: if you want to show me your city and tell me about its history or show me one of your favorite activities, I will always be interested.

If you are interested, I can also try to teach you something: as a mechanical engineer, I know some things about scientific stuff, but I can also teach you trivial things like German or playing football =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basically, I can offer you to have a good time with me. If I am staying at your place, I can of course offer you some help, e. g., cleaning up etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
