I'm Philipp, a passionate traveler and student of International Management from the beautiful city of Graz, Austria. This summer, I'll be embarking on an adventurous journey through Sri Lanka and Asia, and I'm excited to make new friends and share authentic experiences.

Traveling is my passion, and I love immersing myself in the culture and daily life of the places I visit. When I'm not exploring the world, I work in online marketing and plan my next adventures.

In my free time, I enjoy doing sports, especially surfing and volleyball! I also have a keen interest in culture, music, and photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of genuine human connections and cultural exchange. For me, traveling is not just about visiting new places but about experiencing them through the eyes of locals and fellow travelers. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable experiences I've had was during a trip to Greenland. I had the incredible opportunity to stay with an Inuit family in a remote village. They invited me to join them for a traditional dinner, where I tasted local dishes such as seal meat, fish, and whale blubber, all prepared with age-old techniques. We sat around a cozy table, sharing stories about our cultures and lives. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for Inuit culture and their close connection to nature, and it remains one of the most unforgettable adventures of my life.

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe in the philosophy of teaching, learning, and sharing. Traveling is an incredible opportunity to exchange knowledge and skills with people from all walks of life. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to teach others about my Austrian culture, language, and experiences in surfing, while learning about their unique traditions, perspectives, and stories. Sharing meals, adventures, and everyday moments with hosts and guests alike enriches my travel experiences and creates lasting bonds. By embracing this mutual exchange, I aim to contribute to a global community where we all grow and connect through our shared humanity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I bring with me a wealth of experiences and a passion for cultural exchange. I can share my knowledge of Austrian culture, language, and traditions, offering insights into life in Graz and beyond. I enjoy cooking, so I’d be delighted to prepare some traditional Austrian dishes for you, like Kaiserschmarrn or Apfelstrudel. Additionally, I have a background in sports, so I can provide advice or share interesting stories from that field. Most importantly, I bring an open mind and a positive attitude, ready to engage in meaningful conversations, learn from your experiences, and create memorable moments together.
