About Me

Slightly crazy. Pretty calm.
Nevertheless open-minded. Happy.
Talkative, sometimes. But also talkative if you ask.

Some day I want to make a dream possible:
Transforming a VW Transporter into a space to live, work and travel. Working from distance nowadays in the field of Computer Science is possible, and, how perfect would it be to just combine that with travelling and wake up in a different place, every month, every week or even every day?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couchsurfed and hosted already a few times, and it was always a great experience! In general I made good life time friends that I would never got to know without couchsurfing..

Also the possibility to not just feel like a tourist in a foreign place, but to get to know the culture, or well just "how life here is". I am very critical towards the typical governmental efforts so that visitors might get a false impression of the place they are at.

Interests

Travelling... to places I've never been before

Photography... I love portraits and analog photography

Computer Science... just everything that's electronic

Cooking... food is one of the best things we can enjoy everyday, remember how good it can taste if you just spent some time preparing you meal before eating?

Music... any kind of music if its good. But preferably electronic and latin "happy" music ...haha

Cars... especially those that are older than me, like my BMW E30 1988 :)

Music, Movies, and Books

A list of my favourites would be always incomplete and probably everyone would just skip it.
Art is the imperfectness of the perfect, the chaos that forms the world. That is why I like analog photography so much - it just has something unexplainable, it is living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

51 days, 11823km: driving in an old Golf II from Berlin down to Greece, then to Turkey, through Turkey to Georgia and Armenia!

And, more recently, I have been travelling through Latin America from Uruguay to Colombia by bus, and then to Mexico. An unforgettable experience that not only taught me the Spanish language, but also a cultural diversity that once again opened my eyes.

All of this would be no fun without all the people we met on our way. New - and old friends. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

It's very likely that I could teach you a lot of things, because I know much about everything. But I'm never an expert in anything.
But I can try to write down some things that I probably know better then the average: Computer Science, Photography, developing a film strip, repairing old cars... and probably a lot more.

What would I like to learn? That varies. But currently I'm interested in learning languages! As I am fluent in four languages there is a great base for sharing knowledge.
And also all of the other stuff I don't know about ;)
