Overview
About Me
Hi, I am an affable biology master student. I am a curious person about all things new and love asking questions. On the other hand, I also enjoy explaining things, which fits nicely with my current job at our institute's museum of palaeontology, where I get to upkeep and design the exhibition and give tours to all ages. I quench my curiosity through studies of long extinct animals, mostly older than dinosaurs and through traveling (duh, I'm on couchsurfing). I tend to have a humorous (often ironic) look at things which goes together with my overall youthfulness. That helps me also getting along with children and animals quite easily.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's just the best way to satisfy my mentioned curiosity for other people and places. My previous couchsurfing experiences with my road trip through the USA have been amazing. The great memories owe much to the very friendly and very helpful hosts that took up my friend Eike and me during our stays and couchsurfers that met up with us showing us around their hometowns. These are things a hotel just doesn't come with.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: I am not fixed on style. But I do like certain bands, particularly Daft Punk, Franz Ferdinand, Leningrad Cowboys, and Deichkind (German electronic artist). And I love funny music such as mashups and covers from different genres. MOVIES: Tarrantino movies, The Princess Bride, Star Trek II, Alien 3, and The Invisible Man (1933). BOOKS: Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couchsurf three weeks from East to West coast throught the USA. It was just that. My friend Eike and I had Southern Soulfood, saw the biggest fish alive in an aquarium, sat in a 500 hp limo, saw an amazing brass band perform in New Orleans - at night in the street-, had alligator, swam (somewhat ashamed) in a beautiful pool during a draught, surfed down white sand dunes near a nuclear testing site, walked the blooming desert, and had a night out in infamous Tijuana, Mexico. Not sure if that counts as one, but amazing it was.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am quite good at talking about natural history, animals, and beer. So if you have any natural history museums or zoos near, I would be happy to take a tour with you. On the other hand, I have organized a few beer tastings before, so I would be happy to share a sample of regional brews with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, knowledge, discussions, food, and drink. However, not a bed - I am in a relationship. :)
