About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and experience as much as possible,
ABOUT ME
Having graduated in the UK I pretty much went straight over to Japan to work as an English teacher. It's been a brilliantly fun and weird experience and the past 3 years have been brilliant for me. However as the good saying goes, all good things. It is time for something new and I intend to travel around with my bf Nobu until we work out where it is exactly we want to go and what we want to do. Journey time unknown!
PHILOSOPHY
Right now my only aim is to see as much as possible, experience everything I can and to try to do it all with a smile on my face.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to be able to stay at some people places, pretty please.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only couch surfed once before, back in 2009 when i was still a student. I stayed with a lovely guy in NYC and still can't get over what a good host he was.
Interests
Always tricky knowing what to write in these things...I am pretty easy-going, I enjoy live music, the occasional pint, exploring new places and love British comedy.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's a mixed bag:
movies // Withnail and I, Trainspotting, Hunger Games, Life is Beautiful, The Intouchables ... and a million others
music // Warpaint, Patti Smith, The Smiths, Prince, Adele
books // anything by Miyazaki and Bukowski
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with great white sharks / snorkelling with whale sharks / abseiling down table mountain (well part of it!) / bungee jumping / geisha spotting in Kyoto / ruins of Ayuthaya, Thailand
...hoping I can add to this list.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have lived in South Africa and Japan and would be happy to talk about my experiences. I travel quite a lot (and usually on a shoestring) so can offer some advice. Teaching English abroad is becoming more and more popular and I can certainly give some tips on how to get into it.
My bf Nobu, who I will be travelling with, can help your with your Japanese skills! He is a freelance photographer so could give you some camera pointers too I'm sure.
