One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the fortune of arriving in Chefchaouen, Morocco on Eid al Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) in 2014. Being deeply immersed; thrown, into one of the most culturally and historically significant celebrations of the calendar was a beautifully curious, fascinating and profoundly thought provoking experience.

Goats and sheep sacrifices, piles and piles of skins and furs to be taken to tanneries, kids burning animal heads on fires in the squares... A sharp culture shock, but a mind expanding trip none the less.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to see how people with different cultural beliefs and ways of life but the same values live life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation // good vibes // transAtlantic friendships (the kind that traverse the seas)!

I can exchange knowledge, art, words, cook a meal, roll a spliff, help with gardening, walk your dogs (please let me walk your dogs!?!) drive you around, help your sister move house?

Perhaps I can share a lesson in yoga or meditation techniques, how to upcycle a piece of clothing you no longer wear with weaving or trinkets, how to make my Portuguese version of shakshuka!
