About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My next goal is surviving a trip to southern africa, working at a wildlife ranch of some sorts.
ABOUT ME
I'm a young (°1988), versatile student from Belgium.
I think I'm an easy-going person that can adapt to almost any situation and is very much ready to do so when horizons can be broadened, or visions can be changed in a positive way.
I do things as it seems right at the moment, without really thinking a lot about the future, so most of the time I don't really bother about anything or about problems for a long time; time will tell if I made the right choice.
I'm a veterinary student, so obviously I'm very fond of nature in all it's forms and colours. Ever since I knew what a vet was, I wanted to be one.
During my past time I like to play the guitar. I play about everything from the mellow accoustic tearjerkers to straight up hardcore, right now I'm even starting up a ska-band (which seems awfully hard, not much trumpettists and such out there).
I like music so you can find me at gigs from time to time (if I got time).
I've played hockey now for about 10 years (stopped for a few years, but I started again last year), so fridays and sundays I'm off training/playing a match.
Other than that I just like to hang around with friends and enjoy whatever we're doing. In summer I like going to the beach and just enjoy the sun, water (and girls) and the usual ice-cream. In winter I like snowboarding and playing in the snow.
It's quite hard to describe everything I like to do, but I think it's fairly honest to say that I'm openminded and like to try everything. The kind of company changes everything!
PHILOSOPHY
I don't think I could describe my personal philosophy in a few sentences. Honestly I've never thought about defining my philosophy in order to explain it to others.
I think the easiest way to describe it is not to worry a lot about things. Life's too short to worry about things too much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been couchsurfing only once so far, but will do it a lot more in the future, I'm looking to do so even right now.
Hosting is a bit hard since I don't really live in one place (partially I live with my parents, partially alone on a very small apartment). I guess it should be possible to host somebody if really needy, but that's something I should sort out at the moment itself, not in advance.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed someone's couch in St Petersburg for a bit more than a week, and then surfed someone's couch in Moscow also for more than about a week. It was great (although maybe Russia wasn't the easiest country to start couchsurfing).

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS
I'm not really a lot of a reader, have never been. Not that I've never enjoyed a good book, but lately I just don't have the time to sit down and relax and read a book.
MUSIC
I listen to a great variety of music, going from the good old oldies, to drum 'n bass and hardcore.
I've grown up with the beatles, and listen to them still every day. Again, this is a very hard subject to keep it short and clear. So let's keep it simple: I listen to a lot.
MOVIES
Not a fan of the regular hollywood movies (although of course hollywood has brought a lot of great movies as well).
I don't have a lot of movies at home, but I can say that those that I have are some of the best in the world, and I've seen a great deal of movies in my life.
some of my favorites:
- requiem for a dream
- cinema paradiso
- donnie darko
- edward scissorhands
- the big lebowski
- into the wild
- trainspotting
- crash
- ...
- wizards
- die fälscher
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are a lot.
A few years back I was hiking in the Alps. We started to head for the top very early to avoid the warmth. We reached the top when sunrise started kicking in. We sat there for a half an hour and we've never been so quiet. The place had something magical which cannot be described. We headed forth in silence for the rest of the day, struck by that moment. It's not that special, but it was to me. Now that I think of it, it's hard to think of that 'one amazing thing I've seen or done'.
