I'm originally from Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada; it's a really small town in Eastern Québec, one of those towns you only know of if you're from there. I really wanted to see the world and meet people different from me, so I left for college in the United States, where I studied Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Economics. I now work for a technology startup in New York City.

I love people and the world; there's so much to see, learn and experience. I play badminton, I box and I workout/run. I also play soccer, climb and ski/snowboard although more rarely. I absolutely *love* music and I'm learning a bit of music production and a few instruments (guitar/ukulele). I’m also a huge cinephile. I'm always down to try new things (food/activities/anything!), I live for good stories, and I can get lost for hours in a deep conversation (or stargazing, or both).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in Buenos Aires for a summer in college and it really showed me just how exciting experiencing a glimpse of a life different from my own is, and since then I've decided that wherever I'd travel I would integrate myself as best I can within the local community. I’ve since then also lived for a few months in Lisboa and Paris!

I'm here to meet amazing people who are living life to the fullest, to discover their world, and to share my world with them, both as a traveler and as a host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took my dad skydiving for his 52nd birthday as a carefully-orchestrated surprise, since he had sworn never to skydive. Turns out we both loved it, and I ended up skydiving again a few times since then!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of badminton/boxing/poker, and I can teach you some French as well. I wouldn't consider myself an expert at anything I do, but I'm happy to share my limited knowledge in any area of interest!

I'm always on the lookout for new music, so please show me your favorites (especially local artists that I wouldn't come across otherwise!). I also love learning the basics of a new language (especially region-specific slang!), and if you play an instrument or have a specific skill you're really proud of, I would love to learn the basics of it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have many stories I can share, and I'm happy to share experiences/opinions on random things, both serious and not. Oh, and if you're looking for a running/hiking/climbing buddy or someone to jam/make some music with, count me in!
