About Me
ABOUT ME
I try to be friendly, open minded and enjoying what life gives me. I'm not the craziest person, but I'm happy to go with the flow and be crazy or serious or anything in between with my companions of the day that I'm in :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS just seems like a great opportunity to me to meet other people all over the world. Meeting people, getting to know them while drinking a cup of tea/coffee, a beer or dancing in an almost empty club is the way how I want to discover the world. I like it to see other types of people, learn about their culture and how they go through life, because it's making me a richer person too.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Until now I mostly hosted people, which was a lot of fun! But in July 2015 I hitchhiked with my girlfriend Zosia from Poland to Greece, through the Balkan countries. We were hosted by people in Zrenjanin and Belgrade, Serbia, who made our visit a lot more interesting!
Interests
I really liked to play ultimate frisbee with my team in Delft in the Netherlands. I discovered it during a holiday in France where I played it with some people. Unfortunately it's not really popular in Holland, since people don't know it. But people should know it! It's fun, it's fast, there're different tactics, it's spirited, cool people.. More people should know about this sport ;). Now I moved to Gdansk, I'm happy to know here's a team too!
Other thing I love is (of course..) traveling. Sometimes I wish my life would be a little bit more crazy, and that are the moments that I'm dreaming of new hitch-hiking trip. I'm spending way to much time on hitchwiki.org to plan awesome trips, while I should study for exams.. Anyway, I know that being on internet and only planning doesn't make my life more interesting, so every time I have the chance I try to go on a trip :D. Oh and when I do, I love hitch-hiking, camping and meeting interesting people. And now I found CS! Which is going to broaden my travel experiences! I'm really looking forward to talk and chill with locals. Since every person is different, it's interesting to get to know each other better.
Ooh, I'm also interested in motorcycles.. Don't have one yet, not even a license, but I have a Honda MT5. Once I made together with a friend a trip to France on this thing, which only took us 5 days to get to our destination! But the freedom feeling was there and when you realize you're sitting on a small brother of a real motorcycle, you start longing for it ;). But I think getting the license in Holland is too expensive (since it's actually just for fun..), so I'm planning to get it when I'm doing my MSc in Poland. EDIT: Got my license and a motorcycle now :)
And I shouldn't forget field hockey, snowboarding and downhill mountain biking. I love these sports! And bonfires.. One of my biggest passions for sure.

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES:
I really like to watch movies. I prefer one genre over the other, but I believe that in every genre there are good movies. Genres that I like: adventure, comedy, sci-fi, action.. I think European movies differ sometimes quite a lot from a standard Hollywood movie, which I actually both like. Also Bollywood movies can be a lot of fun I recently found out!
Some movies I like (there are a lot, lot more than written here):
- The world is big and salvation lurks around the corner
- Wristcutters: a love story
- The boat that rocked
- "The Bourne ..." movies
- 3 Idiots
MUSIC:
I love music, but I don't have a big collection of all my favorite artists/music. Actually it's quite hard for me to tell who are my favorite artists. It also depends on my mood of course. But in every style of music I can understand why people like it, and often I like it myself too ;).
BOOKS:
Should read more, not doing it at the moment. Maybe in 5 years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing Varna upside down during bungee jumping! And for the people who'll go to Romania, go to Vama Veche in summer. Looks like nothing on google maps, but it's heaven on earth. Super nice open atmosphere, only crazy Romanian hippy people, great all-night parties on the beach under the moon. If only it would be closer..
