Hi my name is Philipp,

since I was young I loved to explore new countries. So up to now I have been travelling through South and Central America, the US and Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and lots of parts in Europe. But it's not the amount of countries which counts for me, it's the huge amount of the new ways of life I discovered and the awesome friendships I have gained.

My second big favour is sports and my current study place called Innsbruck is the place to be for that. Skiing, hiking, mountainbiking and so and on! But I'm big fan of nearly all kind of sports.

I'm very adventurous and I'm always interested to get to know new people to hang out, drink a beer and learn more about their way of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always looking for new experiences and inspiring impressions. By visiting new places all around the world you always meet a different kind of lifestyle. And the best way to experience that is by living with locals. And of course it's cheaper, so there is always money left for a great burger or a cold beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definetely my 6 months I lived in Ecuador. It's an amazing feeling to be infected by the easy way of life and to see that you don't need a lot to lead a happy life.

I tried to took along this manner of life to Germany, which is quite hard. Once in a while I try to remind myself. Beeing relaxed and just enjoy the moment is always the best thing you can do :)

Second most amazing experience was my 6 weeks cycling trip from Austria through all of the Balkans to Albania! It's incredible to see and experience how guest friendly people have been everywhere I passed by :)
