Hi! We are Philippine (24) and Julian (27) from Utrecht, The Netherlands. This summer (June and July 2023) we are cycling from Utrecht to Athens!

A bit more about us: I (Philippine) was born and raised in Utrecht, and studied there as well. I have a bachelors in Philosophy and Laws and I will start my masters next year. Julian was born in Amsterdam, but we studied Law and Philosophy together in Utrecht. Julian now works as a legal researcher in climate law.
In 2021 we cycled to Berlin. This trip was our first cycling trip (we did the Hanzestedenroute (Hanze Cities Route), from Utrecht to Bremen, Hamburg, Lubeck, up to the Ostsee, Rugen and down to Berlin) and we enjoyed it very, very much. In 2022 we cycled a part of the Reitsma route from Amsterdam to Rome (we cycled from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Florence).
This year, we will take a step further and cycle from Utrecht to Athens!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On our previous cycling trips, we have very much enjoyed meeting new people, having all kinds of unexpected encounters with strangers and helping others out who were also travelling by bike (or receiving help when needed!). This year we hope to have these encounters again :)
