ABOUT ME

I am originally from Dallas (though I lived in New York City for over a decade). Light-hearted and easy going, I am a retreat organizer, yoga instructor, and budding reiki practitioner who thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and lending a helping hand.

PHILOSOPHY

The world can be a magical place if you let it! I strive to experience it deeply. The best way for me to really get a feel for a new place is on foot. I try to walk as much as I can, touching the ground whenever possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To connect to the people. I find making a friend is the single most effective way to fully experience a place. And life in general.

Interests

Language, forests, people, farmers markets, sun, city streets, hidden bars, hidden beaches, local produce, books that make you forget, books that make you think, quality wine, quality cheese, craft beer, a bangin' coffee, city parks, sustainable living, yoga and meditation.

I'm into wordplay and fantastical worlds. I'll read most anything, but I love stories you can lose yourself in!

Ethereal sounds and indie silliness, but occasionally I find myself hankerin' for a beat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time while traveling, I accidentally ran into previously-unknown distant relatives at a café. Ask me about it. I like telling the story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am more than happy to cook a meal, share some yoga, teach some English, translate some Spanish, and provide sound layman advice on a wide variety of subjects.
