ABOUT ME

Born and bred in the capital of a communism country, I am sometimes presumed to live with much discipline and collectivism, but who said the assumption is being the mother of all fuck-ups? In fact I find it meaningless to grow without many attempts to new things.

On this stage my innate curiosity has led me all the way to the cultural side of New York. It is in fact pretty hard here to make a living and follow your intuition in the meantime. Nonetheless I am trying, day by day, to make a role.

Offer my couch to those in need. Surf when traveling. Participate in interesting events here and there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I crashed on 11 couches in my summer trip 2009, and another 10 in Europe summer 2010.
I have hosted a good amount of travelers too since way back.

Usually in the city I am traveling to, I send out no more than 5 couch requests to those who I suppose fun to surf with. I am happy to walk further. Likewise, I am selective in answering requests.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Regret watching these movies: The lord of rings, King Kung, Twilight, The day after tomorrow, Matrix... they are really films of nothing in my book, don`t you think?
Gladly watching these again, and again: Lock, Stock and Two smoking barrels, Gloomy Sunday, Who`s eating Gilbert grape, My left foot, Harold and Maude, Pretty woman, Dead poets society, Farewell my concubine, Terms of endearment, The boondocks saints, the list goes on and on.

When it comes to Music, I am not inclined to a type.
Fort Minor, John Mayer, Coldplay, Sting, Elton John, Manu Chao, Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash, Stereophonics. They all have songs that I like.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

1, I randomly met a guy in the New York weekly CS meeting. He looked so familiar that made me wonder if I`ve seen him somewhere before. Later on we figured out that we both attended one weekly meeting at the other end of the world half a year ago, back to when we did not talk to each other.

2, My host in San Diego gave me a ride on his motorcycle to an island, on the high way he drove at 110 miles/hour. I was full or fear at that time, when we stopped, I wanted more.

3, Just out of hospitality, two completely unknown girls generously gave me a lift back to downtown Quebec city from airport, where I was intending to sleep overnight and fly to Vancouver next morning, later on we realized we were all CSers and we knew some mutual CS friends.

4, A CSer who claimed unable to host me in the request reply ended up being my cashier in a Italian supermarket in Ottawa, Canada.
