Overview
About Me
I'm an outgoing guy from the USA. After graduating from University I worked hard for years and was craving to see the world. I travelled and worked in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Vietnam for 2.5 years before returning home.
I haven't participated in too much couchsurfing, but love the idea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people to have cultural exchange. I like to learn about different lifestyles and share some of my own. I also love to find the places that aren't all in the tourist magazines. I can tell you about places in my hometown that you wouldn't find otherwise.
Interests
Hiking, trekking, cave exploration, swimming, exploring the world. I really like the outdoors and physical activities. I prefer medium sized cities or small rural over big city lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Sci-fi dystopian future films(The Matric, Idiocracy), films that teach me about other lifestyles, expecially when they are humorous.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekked 50mi/80km through Indiana wilderness alone in middle of winter(freezing temperatures got down to 17'F/-8.5C at night). It was a planned trip that I trained for and a big challenge for me mentally and physically.
My car smashed into an emu in the Australian Outback at 95kmh or so. It ran right out in front of us from hiding behind a bush. That made for an interesting(and very expensive) memory.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a curious mind to hear about politics, local customs and places to see, and have a bit of an all around knowledge of many different things.
