About Me

My name is Phillip, and I am travelling across Europe with a close friend from the 18th of April to the 21st of May. I'm originally from Jamaica, but I currently live in the States. I love nature and political activism related to black and brown empowerment, climate/environmental justice, and deepening love across identities and communities. I'm currently on a break from college to organically figure out how I want to create that change with the understanding that people existing freely in the world is one of the most effective ways to educate ourselves and the people around us. There is so much power in self education through experience and experimentation and my experiences on couchsurfing continue to demonstrate that! If you love deep talks about our interconnectedness to the environment and people around us; the power of language, art, and music in the freeing of our minds; queerness and radical existence; the influence of the African/West Indian diaspora on western culture; all things jazz and live music; and random city exploration, then I'm your guest :
)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learn, ideate, and create best by interacting with the world and people around me! We are taught we need stability and certainty at all times in life (esp when we leave our comfort zones to travel) to remain safe, but the opposite is true for most of us since radical, sporadic interactions and adventures often steer us towards a path of growth and wakening. We are a sum of the people we interact with and as such, I always seek to meet/stay with locals when I travel to new places. I have SO MUCH to learn and so much to give; Couchsurfing is an avenue for such exchange of knowledge. I'd love to embody this with you wherever I am on this planet!
