About Me
Hello World!
I am a creative and soulful person that is always willing to lend an ear. I am equally happy at spending a night on the town as I am sitting in an reading books or sharing stories.
In Toronto, which I call home, I am always involved in something or another. Right now I am really sinking my teeth into my studies in psychotherapy as well as learning how to copy-edit on the side!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couch surfing because I love meeting new and open people. How much more open and caring can a person be if they are willing to share their home? The idea always excites me as a writer and therapist.
My house is currently not open to guests because I live a fair bit out of the city and my roommates and I haven't come up with a proper space for guests. When that changes, so will this profile!
Interests
I am all over the place! One of the things I've learned in life is to go with the flow and dive deep when you find something you like. So, my interests are very much like that.
I found a love for music at a very young age and pursued it for quite some time. Right now, I am an amazing shower singer and am always on the hunt for new opportunities and venues to sing at.
I always have been a very good listener (the perks of having a very dramatic family). So, a deep passion of mine is the healing of others through authentic moving and meaningful listening. Sounds a bit complicated, but it essentially means listening to your body and acting on that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like mellow music for my active mind - but only when I want an easy environment. When I am ready to party, let's blast the beats. I listen to artists like Adele, Robyn, FKA Twigs, the Foals, Half Moon Run, Elias, James Blake, London Grammar, Julie London, Nat King Cole, Stromae, Tycho, Vampire Weekend, The XX, Yaz, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur, Ryan Hemsworth and lots of operas!
Movies: The Skin I Live In, Big Hero 6, Violet and Daisy, Populaire, Delicatessen, Noordzee Texas
Books: Lullabies for Little Criminals, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Left Hand of Darkness, Kafka on the Shore, A Little Life
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This may not sounds too amazing, but it was! I've been an extra in two amazing operas here in Toronto. One was Roberto Devereux, the other was Die Walkure. In the first one I was Shakespeare and got to run around on stage with a donkey head mask! In the second, I got to practice my savasana for three hours!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to teach you anything that I know. Want some lessons in English or music? I'm your guy! I will also read over your work and finesse it or copy-edit it like a pro.
As a therapist, I am also very willing to help with some goal setting! So, if you are ready for some hard work, I can help you with that next big hurdle in life and turn it into a palatable cake! Also, I have been know to help people ease their hangovers; the power of your mind is amazing!
It is always so much fun for me to work with people who don't think they can sing. If you are that person, I would love to work with you for an hour or two to help find your voice!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Because my interests are so wide, I can pass on a lot! Here is what I'd love to share with you: talk-therapy sessions, somatic movement sessions, Reiki sessions, tarot/oracle card readings, shoulder rubs. Anything else I mentioned in "Teach, Learn, Share" is totally up for grabs.
My mother was a seamstress and passed on some of those skills to me, so, I'd be more than happy to help mend some clothes or hem some pants.
I'd also sing you a few classical songs if you'd like!
