About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as many perspectives and cultures as possible to foster a more complete understanding of humanity and our world

ABOUT ME

I am a very passionate person who is interested in nearly everything, from chess to economics, skateboarding to quantum physics--Very few things fail to intrigue me. My first priority in Life is to dedicate myself to Social Justice. I have a Master's degree in Social Work and am involved in many organizations including The Women's Center which provides shelter and services for women and children in domestic violence situations. I also am involved in Progressive Masculinities Mentors which focuses on addressing male privilege and how it intersects with heterosexism, racism, capitalism, etc... I am outgoing and enjoy meeting new people, experiencing new things and of course, traveling is a primary passion of mine.

PHILOSOPHY

To live, is to be slowly born.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not used this site before, but I have had friends hook me up with their friends in other cities (Washington DC, New York, Oakland/San Fransisco) and have a lot of fun meeting new people while meeting new cities. I have stayed in communes and single residences. I most enjoy staying with people who also like to go out and explore, even though they live there, traveling is more fun with company!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tikal in Guatemala was life-changing: not just the ruins but the knowledge of our Mayan guide brought the city to life with story, prophecy and energy.

Shared the stage, as a DJ and Rapper, with Murs, Blueprint, other hip-hop icons.

Hiked across the Rocky Mountains, 100 miles, without anymore than a tent and some supplies.

Swam with a Whale shark (biggest shark in the world)

lived on LCO Native American reservation.

Backpacked across Central America by myself.

"Occupied" Wall Street
