ABOUT ME

here's a press release for an upcoming event written by my sister-in-law:

DJ Phillycheze, owner of Last Resort Productions, will be spinning his tunes at 8pm on March 20 in Stowe, Vermont at the Piecasso Pizzaria and Lounge. Based in Washington, D.C., this will be his first gig in the northeast. He will be playing a mix of hip-hop, top 40 club, and 80's music.

Phillycheze began DJing at 14 while living on base in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where his dad was serving in the Army. He regularly DJ'ed events at the base teen center and began learning the ropes from DJ Floyd. Soon after, he began going to D.C. clubs to see specific DJs.

After college, Phillycheze worked as a ski instructor, river guide, and an adventure camp counselor. His DJ talents did not go to waste, however, as he started emceeing adventure sports races and ski and snowboard tournaments. In 2003, he joined Sounds Fun Entertainment as a DJ for weddings and parties. In 2006, he founded Last Resort Productions.

Most recently, Phillycheze has began to work with other crews and promoters putting on events in the D.C. area. He has maintained ties with the skiing and snowboarding community and still DJ's and emcees those events.
