About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, free my mind, see as much as the world has to offer and become who I want to be

ABOUT ME

Honestly, I'm just trying to find myself and be happy. Lately it seems like such a struggle, but I've spent enough time doing what others want. It's my life and it starts when I take control and follow my heart.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's a journey, so just go with the flow and let it take you to wonderful places. Though sometimes there are obstacles, overcoming them is how we learn and become who we are. Do whatever it takes to survive, tell the truth, love until it hurts, cry, scream, try new things, laugh. Life was meant to be lived, so go live it.
I think a lot of life is your perspective, how you choose to look at a certain situation. Change your thoughts, and change the world.
*Philosophy subject to change*

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few summers ago, I spent some time touring through Europe with the BLFAC International Jazz Ensemble. We traveled through France, Germany, and Denmark staying with various host families of the local community. It was my first experience, and it was everything I ever dreamed it would be. Never have I been so convinced of what I want to do and what makes me happy: it's where my heart lies.

I spent the weekend in Palm Springs, California. It was my first true experience with couch surfing and the first time I've been to the west coast. I was in town attending the National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) annual conference and I had the most amazing time. It was such a beautiful town and I met so many wonderful people, I'm so thankful that I got to go.

Interests

I'm interested in everything big or small. I feel so ready to see the world. My mind is never being closed again.

Music, Movies, and Books

In my time on earth, I've learned that there is a book, movie, and song for literally every situation possible. It just depends on how you're feeling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was this kid at my school. He was suspended for bringing a cake into class and asking his girlfriend to prom. The next week, our entire class had a sit in for him. We all brought cake and blankets. During lunch we all sat in the main hallway of the school and passed around and ate cake. When the bell rang we laid there and had a big senior snuggle, blocking the entire school and everyone else from getting to class. It turned into our senior prank and the principal apologized for the punishment, and we didn't get in trouble for doing this.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I was staying in Germany, my host father taught me to drive a stick shift.

Bike rides, foods, tours of the city, skiing and snowboarding in the winter, I'm an instructor so I can give lessons too, an ear for an story, lots of hugs, adventures, books and tea.
