Über mich
Avid reader, I live in constant pursuit of knowledge.
Mother tongue is Italian but English and Spanish are not a problem either. I adore woods, mountains and outdoor sports. Also an enthusiast of everything techy, I believe nature and technology are really about the same thing. I enjoy smart, inspirational conversations. Single, never married, my personality type is INTJ according to the Myers–Briggs test, which means I love playing chess among other things. Not really into soccer, I'm afraid, but I do enjoy running or cycling at least three times a week. Cats are fascinating creatures. Not a smoker, prefer stout beer and red wine. I love foreign food and can bake quite a few delicious varieties of pizza myself.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I simply love getting to know about other people and cultures. It's a great way to improve my understanding of the world and a way to find out what I can do to help make it a better place.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I love dystopian novels and so-called "classics" above all. 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, We by Evgenij Ivanovič Zamjatin, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, you get it. I go through a lot of popular science essays and love reading mind-opening stuff. I enjoy insightful movies able to inspire alternative thoughts and raise profound ethical/existential questions about our very nature and future as humans. I must confess I have a thing for sophisticated sci-fi movies such as Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 and Interstellar and happily skip the now-mainstream lightsaber-thing altogether. Yeah, The Matrix was also quite sophisticated if you ask me, loads of real philosophy and science behind it. I'm not really into horror movies. I love listening to movie soundtracks and composing them myself or at least trying. Anything by Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, and Thomas Newman has a spot in my heart.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Probably instructing my 90+ years old grandma on how to attach a PDF file to an email and send it. But seriously, I'd have to think about it. Maybe sleeping in the woods with a couple of friends while it was pouring down and our phone batteries had died? The thing is I tend to be a rather cautious person, I wouldn't do anything knowing it could put me in a life-threatening danger. Which includes eating out at McDonald's. Kidding.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I'd love to learn drawing and painting and playing the piano and the sign language. Possibly one thing at a time.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Well, I could fix your computer, and by fixing I mean opening it and checking what's wrong and doing whatever needed to make it work again or suggesting possible upgrades. I could even build a new one for you putting it all together from scratch. Or maybe you have a slow internet connection because your Wi-Fi router isn't configured properly: I won't mind having a look, I've been doing it for years. I could teach you Italian down to the grammar level as I've been teaching it to students, too. Fancy learning how to play chess? But really, it would be my pleasure to share any useful knowledge I may have and lend a hand in whatever way possible.
