Hi there! I'm studying abroad and traveling Jan-May 2016, and I'm hoping to visit as many places as possible within this time! I am studying Theatre, Creative Writing, and History at my home university. I love planning things, but when it comes down to it, I'm definitely laid back and very low maintenance! Currently working on a mass photography project and taking pictures with every statue I find in Europe! I try to be a friend to everyone I meet, and I'm not afraid to ask for directions!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I decided to try my hand at Couchsurfing because part of the reason why I love traveling is the chance to interact with other people and other cultures. I've learned that staying with locals is the best way to get up close and personal with a city, and you learn so much more about customs, traditions, and histories!

Intereses

I love writing, reading, swimming, sun bathing, taking long walks through unfamiliar cities, and making everyday situations 100% more awkward than they need to be. I'm addicted to Instagram, which definitely came in handy for this trip because I'm also a big fan of forcing people to take my picture next to everything. I'm a major foodie and will try anything once!

Música, películas y libros

-I love most music! Being from Georgia (southern U.S) I adore country music, but rock and pop have a special place too! I have a soft spot for anything sung in Spanish!
-Shawshank Redemption is the movie I could watch every day for the rest of my life, but I also love any Sandra Bullock movie. Of course I also love Disney movies, but who doesn't?
-I read a very weird assortment of things. I usually like fiction or realistic fiction, but lately I've been reading about the economy (Superfreakonomics, it's awesome!).

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think the most amazing thing I've ever done is voluntarily leave the only country I've ever known and roam around Europe for 5 months. And wearing the same two pairs of pants for 21 days without washing them. That was pretty amazing.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share my love of food and my genuine curiosity about everything with my hosts! I can tell them a whole slew of funny stories about my family and my travels around Europe, as well as local legends from Spain and where to get the best Patatas Bravas (spoilers, it's Girona). Although I love food more than most of the people in my life, I will share my snacks with hosts because nothing says "thank you" like warm gummy bears and granola!
