Hellooooo!

My name is Phoebe (pronounced in English as "Fee-bee"). I'm from Tucson, Arizona, but have spent most of my adult life living out of state or abroad. I'm a bookworm who loves feminism and hanging out with friends. I spend most of my time abroad as my school (Minerva) requires students to spend each semester in a new city around the globe. So far, I've lived for a semester or more in San Francisco (8 months), Seoul, Hyderabad (India), Berlin, and Buenos Aires.

Somehow I ended up spending my summers teaching middle school, so not only am I no longer afraid of anything, I also have a lot of stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know the world from the point of view of those who live here. I don't have time to live everywhere myself, so I'll settle for spending time with locals wherever I can find them. :)

Also, I've found spending time with strangers is a good way to remember just how good and noble humanity can be, and a good way to return that light into the world.

I've seen both sides of the Pacific Ocean in one day, celebrating the dawn in South Korea then flying to San Francisco.
