About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, travel, be present in the moment and not worry about what has or what could be.

ABOUT ME

If my best friends were to describe me a few things would def pop up.. such as fun, crazy at times, very spontaneous, knows how to break it down on the dance floor and have a good time, has no shame, kind, generous, a great listener, easy and out going, intelligent, brave, considerate, hilarious, unconventional, insightful, even psychic at times.

PHILOSOPHY

Essentially the core principles of Buddhism.. Complete happiness comes from within and is mastered by mastering ones mind not to react or attach to external objects, to what is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't officially had any couch surfing experiences through this organisation, as I am brand new and am just kicking off.. But have stayed on multiple friends couches and friends of friends couches around the world who some are members of the couchsurfing world.

Interests

I absolutely love to be creative, in any way and by any medium possible. My greatest passion is learning.. Constantly learning about myself, about others and about the world we live in is very important for me. So, inevitably I absolutely love travelling!! Travelling is my number one hobby, that if I could do it non stop I would, and hope to live to work to fund travel rather live to work. Travelling encompasses so much from learning about yourself, gaining independence, confidence, learning about others ny immersing yourself into other cultures, lifestyles and customs thus gaining a broader, wider perspective on life.. I LOVE IT! I also am very passionate in health and well being.. for soul, body and mind. I just finished a Bachelor in Medical Science, specialising in Neuroscience.. and hope to become a healer one day, work with people through western and eastern medicine to make positive changes and maintain good health in all areas of others life. I spend my time recently studying, travelling, working (nanny, pathologists, receptionist, administration etc), reading, dancing and hanging out with my two brand new nieces.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One moment that completely left me awestruck was in Indonesia, after watching a traditional Javanese circus. My father is Indonesian and my mother is Australian. One time recently when I went to visit my family over there with my dad and all my other siblings. I have a BIG family, 3 sisters and 1 brother, so its lots of fun! Anywho my dad organised for a traditional Indonesian circus to come to my Aunty's house! This meant the whole village came to her house, set up camp outside her garden for the day to watch the free entertainment. It was an amazing experience alone just to see the whole village come to her house to see the circus and set up in her front yard.. but the actual experiences alone left me awestruck!! Men involved in the circus went into trances, were hypnotised by various methods and did crazy things.. from dancing like animals, to eating glass, to ripping of chicken heads and eating them to running over coals! It was crazy!!
Another moment that left me awestruck.. was in Mexico. I studied and lived abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico for one month doing an extensive Spanish language course after travelling around Central America for 2 months. For one weekend I went up into the Sierre Norte, a beautiful mountain range outside Oaxaca City, which had tiny isolated villages speckled amongst them. I volunteered in a small community which was such an amazing experience! Seeing how a tiny village could be self sufficient, live in commune way, sharing and rotating work roles left me completely awestruck. In addition to that, learning and making traditional Mexican medicine was an amazing experience. The local knowledge and wisdom that comes with it.. definitely left me awestruck.
