Future note for couchsurfers who would like to stay at our place in the future - Our apartment complex does not allow us to have too many different people over in a certain time period (e.g. 2 different parties/guests in one month may be okay). South Korea (Seoul, JSA/DMZ - North Korea border)

Indonesia (Yogakarta, Borobudur, Wonosobo/Dieng, Mount Bromo, Kawah Ijen, Bali)

**An intense 10-day meditation "retreat" at the Vipassana center in southern California

**A 2-month road trip across the USA (twice!), visiting national parks, fall foliage, friends, and family along the way - so far have explored 34 out of 50 states in America! (April-May 2002, Sept-Oct 2015)

**Backpacking in parts of Europe (Italy, Spain, France, England, August 2000)

**Two-week safari in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania)
