ABOUT ME

Free wheelin' wannabe hippie has been thrown around a few times. I went traveling last year in America and Europe for a few months and met some of the most amazing people, completely changed my life. Now all I want to do is learn and discover and experience everything life has to throw at me. Challenge, fun, danger, risk, bring it on :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have to admit I love escapism. If any form of media can capture my attention and draw me into it's reality I'm down. Especially if it's reality involves me being a spaceship captain or professional Dinosaur hunter.

I like all films. I have a very large and comfortable soft spot for the works of Hayao Miyazaki and Sci-Fi.

I will enjoy listening to all genres of music... except heavy metal. I've tried really hard but I just can't get my ears on the same page. I tend to drift towards the folky, soft-country, bluesy, indy end of the spectrum though.

With books I tend to be a bit too narrow for my own liking. I love the physical act of reading but whenever I'm in a bookstore I always end up in the Sci-Fi Fantasy section. Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchet, Guy Gavriel Kay and some of my giants.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiked from Auckland to Christchurch NZ on a whim. Experienced more charity, hospitality and proof of the enduring 'good' that exists in our world than at any other time in my life.

I'd love to learn some cooking skills and how to make jam! or dried fruits! anything in a jar really.
