Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Starting a small company, studying and applying to go back to school- all with out going insane or broke!
ABOUT ME
I'm easy going, enjoy the good life (on a budget), love meeting good people, and take one day at a time. I enjoy making a home, but also leaving on trips- long or short. Rock climbing, SCUBA, hiking, running, and volunteering...
PHILOSOPHY
One day at a time. Enjoy it, because who knows how long we have left here. Be nice to people. See the world realistically, and do what you can to make it better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new here so I've yet to host/ visit someone on this site, but I'm eager to. There are a bunch of great little places around where I live that can be easy to miss which I like pointing out to people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experience thus far has been the old fashioned kind- where you meet someone, strike up a conversation with them, and they invite you to stay at their place because you are on the road and have no idea where you'll sleep that night (or the other way around.) I like this a lot because it really opens up the true generosity of people in the moment. There is no planning, preparation, or premeditation involved.
Interests
Eating well. reading. good tea. being active- running, climbing, biking. drinking beer my friends (or I) made. plants. meeting new people. camping/ campfires.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been to Afrika several times... I just got back from a sea turtle conservation station job in Cape Verde. Love traveling but want to travel with more of a purpose than I have in the past (not that pure travel is bad, I've just done plenty, and will be seeking more, dare I say- direction, the next time I leave the country.)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a chef and have been teaching cooking classes for a while now. I love to EAT! and love it even more when meeting new people. If you'd like to have dinner (my place or yours) I'd be happy to help cook/ teach. I specialize in healthy, mostly vegetarian food, which is easy here in California where we are spoiled with all the great food options we have.
