About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because a friend of mine recommended it to me. I'm still new, that's why I don't have any reviews yet, but I'm on fire! Once I've tried it, I cannot get enough of it. Getting to know places through the eyes of a local is one of the best things you can do while travelling.
Also I will be hosting after I returned home cause this is a giving and taking thing.

Interests

Music of all kinds, listening to it, playing the trumpet, going to concerts, festivals, the opera, symphonic concerts, discover new music on spotify and via couch surfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rolling Stones, La Brassbanda, Kraftclub, Kalkbrenner (both), Joy Division, Casper, Beatles, The Mamas and the Papas, Black Keys.
Books: newly read The Alchemist, now reading Khaled Hosseini stuff, The bridge over the Drina (Ivo Andric) is one of my favourites. Mainly books that tell me about people living in different countries. I am always open to recommendations and appreciate them very much!
Movies: Vicky, Christina, Barcelona; Carnage; Ensemble, c'est tout; Catch me if you can; Control (Joy Division); Shine a light (Rolling Stones), etc. We'll probably find some movie to talk about. :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to live in Thailand when I was 15. Learned how to ride an elephant. (Currently) Getting from Budapest to Istanbul via Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia within 10 days while (hopefully) spending less than 200€.
OK, that's 3 things, but I couldn't really decide.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am interested in learning new language systems and try to get a glance at the way of thinking behind it.
I can teach you some languages I have learned during my stays abroad or to cook a traditional German meal, if we find the right ingredients for it. :-)
