About Me
Hi out there!
my name is Pia (in Latin it means something very religious/ in Suaheli it means "also"/ in Hungarian it means "alcohol"/ in Hindi (if I remember correct) it means "boyfriend") - do you know another meaning :D? well it doesn't though say a lot about my personality - but sometimes it is just funny when I introduce myself and people start laughing ;)..
who am I? .. I am someone who trys to enjoy life, creates something, meets soul companions everywhere. I can't stand the idea of sitting in front of a computer, doing something meaningless as a job. I adore Amanda Palmer as a musician and as a personality. I am sometimes a bit shy, but if you give me a little time I am about to share everything with you.
I am a storyteller, I collect impressions, situations, emotions surrounding me and try to put those together to something you hopefully will enjoy :)
In general I am always looking forward to discover something new - experiencing the same everday wouldn't be what fulfils me. Though when it get's too much, I really enjoy being around caring people :)..
currently my main mission is looking for a job within the fields of media and arts - I had a very interesting journey so far and I am very curious how and where it will continue. Traveling around a lot was what I did over the last 6 months (I reeeally enjoyed it) - making new friends, connections was a very great and important part of it.
also this is my first time when I try couchsurfing, so I am quite nervous but I hope that you'll help me get over this fear :)
what else? ..
I studied multimediaarts/ major film the last years, paint/draw pictures that are more an issue of feeling than understanding, sometimes I hit my ukulele and other times the piano (depending on what is close ;)!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling around and meeting people constantly is so amazing. When I came back home from traveling (a village where time actually stands still sometimes) I really missed being able to encounter randomly with people from all over the world.
My former roomie introduced me to couchsurfing by inviting people in in our flat and I was amazed which people suddenly were sharing their stories while having dinner with us in the kitchen :)
I think it is a great way to gain trust in people and be encouraged to get out of the own comfortzone again and again :)..
