About Me

I am Pia - born and raised in Germany, but I live in New Canaan, Connecticut (close to the city) for a year as an AuPair. (I have about 4 month left right now - April)
I would discribe myself as a really open minded, communicative person, with a passion for traveling around the world to see all these new beautiful places with my own eyes.
I love it to be around other open minded people and like to exchange the craziest storys.
I can't get enough of the feeling to be alive which makes me want to get more and more experiences at pretty much everything.

If you want to know more about me, feel free to ask me what ever you like.

I am not excepting guests at the moment, because I dont live at home, I'm in the us for a year - sorry guys - maybe next year!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to experience all of those new cultures from the inside, learn new things and break out of the regular comfort zone! Also I'd really love to see whats really happening in the cities and countries, not only whats recommended in guidebooks etc if you get me :)

Interests

I like music, sports (especially dancing), good food, to meet new people and hear about their stories, books.... the list just goes on and on.

  • books
  • dancing
  • dining
  • traveling
  • music
  • sports

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I don't even know where to start, because my taste of music is basically everything except metal or gothic.
I basically listen everything i can dance on, for example country line dance.

Movies - I would say I could write the same about movies, that I already said about music... I like so much different things - romanctic movies, but on the other hand I also love action movies or comedies.

Books - good question??? I read a lot and i don't even have a favourite author or book. Feel free to suggest me some awsome books you think I should read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Starting my AuPair year - I always tell my friends all I had was a Plain ticket, a family to stay and a suitcase with some cloth. I didn't knew if I would get along with my family (and i have to say I do get along with them very well), if I would find friends or the most important thing: I can stay away from home for more than a year?!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some funny or nice german words and phrases? :D

I would love to learn more about you, your country, the city you live and the things you love the most.

As I am still very young i love to hear about other peoples jobs, what they do or what they did - till now i only have a slight idea what i wanna become in the future...

Sharing stories about my life with you, maybe while we eat a typicall meal for eather germany or the countrie you are from!
