About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to figure out my life

ABOUT ME

Hello--I'm a friendly, Half German/ Half American, easy going, college student. I absolutely love animals and I have an emotional support animal. She's a wonderful 5 year old Blue Heeler and will usually be with me (see pictures). I also have a lovely cat who will stay at home unless I'm moving, which I currently am. I actually want to study animal/animal and animal/human relations. I believe animals are capable of feeling and understanding more than what we previously thought. I love to travel and I hope to see the entire world before I die. Places I'm currently excited about: Italy and Japan. I've already been to most of the US states, a small bit of Canada, a lot of Germany (as I am part German) and other parts of central Europe. Currently in flux, moving from the US to Germany but once I am settled I'd love to welcome some couch surfers. I've used this website before with my friend Kelly but just recently made my own profile. Also I'm visibly tattoo'd and I dye my hair often, sometimes unnatural colors so if you are not down with that then I guess we shouldn't interact.

PHILOSOPHY

"live and let live" that is the personally philosophy my mother taught me. To live your life and to let others live theirs without inflicting harm. I also hang on to the following sayings: this too shall pass, que sera sera and C'est la vie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to couch surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only ever couch surfed once with my friend Kelly. It was a really awesome and eye opening experience.

Interests

Anthropology, Animals, Therapy/Emotional Support/Service animals, books, movies, certain tv shows--mostly fantasy/fictional. Miyazaki films. Wes Anderson movies. Painting, poetry and writing are also things I enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Golden Compass, Divergent, Once Upon a Time, Classical, LoTR, All Hayao Miyazaki films...and more. I'm pretty open to any thing that isn't horror film/story related as I simply just can't handle scary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland are absolutely breath taking and I hope to go back there now that I'm a bit older and have more of an appreciation for natures beauty.

I almost made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris once--but I'm afraid of heights. Next time I'd like to go all the way.

I've trained my dog to be my emotional support animal and it is and has been an amazing journey. Next I'd like to train a therapy dog to help those in need.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fluent in German and feel comfortable teaching anyone up to a beginner level. It would definitely be enough for you to get around. I also love to paint, though I am no genius and it, but could, again get you comfortable at a beginner level. Also I would love to have a shared writing group experience. Its always good to have other people read your work.
My bf who may or may not be traveling with me knows how to play a mean banjo and acoustic or electric guitar. He would surely be willing to share his skills.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
