About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find my place in the world and meet lots of great people looking!
ABOUT ME
Being brought up under the Northern lights and the Midnight sun in the North of Sweden I moved to London 20 years ago. Why? It was for the experience and I got a bit stuck since it is a great base for travelling and culture.
In London I have a great group of friends that keeps me inspired and sane. There are alomost as many nationalities as people at my parties!...and no there are more the two people there!! Cheeky! Usually around 25..my flats capacity really!
The happy go luck part of me is combined with being aware and concerned about the world we live in, how we treat it and eachother. I can be the life and soul of the party but also just get lost in a book or take part in a political manifestation...or drink champange! Life is to short to say no to pleasures!
Oh, I aloso like to write. Anything else you can ask. I am an open book but have some chapters reserved for close friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others like you like to be treated. Make good friends, listen to great music, read inspiring books, start your own little revolution and enjoy the jourmey of life!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Haven't for a long time. Let's get mingling again with people visiting London and would like a local's insights.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first guest turned out to be a nasty piece of work so I am now re-considering my whole participation in this forum. Not since I worked in the corporate world have I met such a clever but nasty and sly person. This is why I only meet up but do not host.
Interests
I love music, reading, politics, cooking and travelling. Loud and intense conversations, laughs, reading and good food keeps me happy. Reading and listening to music keeps me sane.

Music, Movies, and Books
Last book I read was called 'Half the sky' a book about modern day slavery. It tell tales of womens struggle all over the world. No, not about equal pay but about not getting medical treatment on the same terms as a male sibling, trafficking and systematic gangrapes... NOt upplifting but insightful and it gives practical ideas how YOU can make a change.
I also read crime novels, memoirs and historical books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my early twenties I took part in a political manifestations against racism. It is a long story that needs to be told in person. I can reveal that it was in a towncentre and four of us were naked!
The year before that I wrote a report that was presented to the Swedish government and it is still used as a reference material for Swedish teachers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I bake great cinnamon buns...and I will teach you if you want to!
I speak Swedish and German.
