About Me

I'm a blind student of English, in my free time I do voluntary software translation, record podcasts and write articles about technology. I love challenges, geting myself to do things I've never done before and life in general. Although the interests section of this profile will tell you more about my hobbies, I'm open to the hobbies of other people as an inspiration to find new ones for myself.

When travelling, I take the geeky approach: love hanging out at hipster, lesser known museums of not so obvious stuff (radio, trams and busses, phones to name just a few…), checking out apps and other technology that powers the life of the locals and do different kinds of checking out such as aircheck of the available radio stations, ham radio activity etc. I also make sure to take lots of recordings as I travel so that I can come back with a head full of memories and phone full of stereo postcards. :) As a form of audio souvenir I record announcements of different kinds: phone providers messages (this number does not exist in different languages), public transport announcements or simply, anything interesting that I happen to hear around me. Courtesy of jenny from the US, you can check out my phone announcements' recordings at www.thisisarecording.com.

Fear not, I am also interested in the lifestyle of locals and their everyday life perspective: what they eat, listen to, organize their life in their city, all the things that make not even every country/city but also its inhabitants unique so staying at your place will definitely be a journey in itself. Apart from casual sightseeing, riding tandems, wall climbing/bouldering and geocaching are some of the activities I will definitely go for but try and challenge me to something that you like and who knows, perhaps your activity will end up on this list in the future.
