Music, Movies, and Books

Garden State, Wonderboys, O brother where art thou, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, I have heaps of favourite movies...Monty Python...little miss sunshine, the usual suspects, garden state, big fish, six degrees of separation...the list goes on, but two films I've recently seen that really rocked my boat were "it happened one night" (with Clark Gable) and "The Prince and Showgirl" (with Monroe). Simply stunning, and I love the classics.

Music - love almost anything, heavily into the Decemberists, Black Keys, and The Eastern (a new zealand band, check it out). love the indie rock/pop, Arcade Fire, Beirut and Wilco, just chilling in music, though I love rock too...smashing pumpkins, arctic monkeys, rolling stones, jimi hendrix...louis armstrong, miles davis, nina simone, mozart, vivaldi...it just goes on.

Am an avid reader, so naming books that I love is going to be hard, but here I will try (and sorry to all those books that I forget, don't make this list): any Tom Robbins though i love love love "Still life with woodpecker", Princess Bride, Neverending Story (only in german though), Three to see the King, anything by Haruki Murakami and Angela Carter, Rushdie, Rohinton Mistry, JM Coetzee, Nadine Gordimer, Toni Morrison, Janosch, Lindgren...soooo many more, Hunter S Thompson, Chuck, Hubert Selby...(number 2 expense with me after food is books...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving the desert road in NZ. Always an amazing experience
Travelling to Madagscar and having a lemur sit on my shoulder.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something to teach, and everyone should be open to learn. Wisest is she who knows she does not know...and I know that I know very little, but what I do know I'm very happy to share!
