About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living in our 20m2 tiny house we just built !
ABOUT ME
Hi you lovely travellers, nomads and residents of this Planet ! And thank you to spend time reading who we are and where we're going :)
We both grew in small villages at about 200 miles from one another, and life let us meet and give us the chance to continue the way together :)
I, Alexandre, studied Sound Engineering.
Raphaëlle studied Arts and culture managment.
That's for what we've been taught to.
Our goal is to enjoy every single moment of this life and to give the most of our kindness, positivism, energy to all receptive people on our paths.
We always turn our mind upside down / inside out and in every corner to know how we could do to help things be easier, greener, smilier, more creative, more innovative, more fair, more in the present day.
After his sound studies, Alexandre decided to work for a bakery which make bread from organic flour and local ingredients. In this way we can spare money to move on a kind of 'world trip'.
Raphaëlle, after a few professional desillusions, decided to dedicate her time to different nonprofits- organizations, being a volunteer.
We've tried to fit with the rules of our society, until we realized that this is not built on values in which we trust.
That's why we try to meet people who developp this reflexion like us, and who do think, dream, develop, live alternatively.
Now we live in the countryside in the north of France, Alex works in an organic store, and Raphaëlle teaches theater to children.
We have 2 kids : Ernest born in February 2015 and Léon born in november 2016. So we enjoy this family life in our 20m2 home :) We both made a big break in our jobs to take care of our children, so we have plenty of time !
We keep on beeing updated about :
- Agroecology
- Permaculture
- Vegetarianism
- Composting Toilets
- Guerrilla Gardening - Grow vegetables in the streets
- Renewable energies
_ Building our own tiny house with eco-metarial
- Worker cooperatives
- Open-source ideas and Fab Labs
- Recycling and re-use objects to give them a second life
- Alternative moneys and barter exchanges
- Zero waste Home : Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rotten
- Giving birth at Home
And for sure, we have some serious doubts about :
- Buy things made without care, consciensness, humanity, by people who want to have more and more.
- Own things. More things, until what ?
- Eat food grown with pesticides and fertilizers
- Aluminium foil
- Plastics & Bisphenol A
- Fossil energies
- Garbages in the street
- The gap between cities and villages.
- Technology addictions
- Beeing always in a hurry, under pressure, doing things you don't really want to but you feel you have to
- Medical industry
Now, it's time to meet you and to exchange about our points of view, to share, and if you read the all description we definitely have lots in common !!
PHILOSOPHY
Stay away from negative persons. Be honest, natural and good.
We would like to meet every positive and interested person who have things to tell, (innovative) projects in mind, and do care for themselves, people around them as well as their local environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We host, We surf, we talk, we cook, we plant, we go out, we're very flexible
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We travelled during Summer 2010 along the Danube and summer 2013 across asian countries. Sometimes we have been hosted by CS members, sometimes Hospitality Club members. We truly believe this is a good thing.
It's like diving all of a sudden in the every day life of someone whom you just didn't know anything about before. That's really something. We hope that we'll be able to host people at every places we'll settle, because it was always great times learning about every day life's people, other cultures, politics and ideas.
