About Me

CURRENT MISSION

making the world laugh

ABOUT ME

I'm a college student fully exploring just how much of an overabundance of education I can compile over my life. Currently studying Survey Research And Methodology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I've lived in Lincoln for a year now. I'm from Ohio. Grew up in Dayton Ohio and spent 7 years in Cincinnati before moving to Lincoln. I love baseball

PHILOSOPHY

Do good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can, communicate with local Couchsurfers via the local groups, and use the community of couchsurfers for couches to surf and info on local hot spots when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed on couches of friends of friends for some time when traveling, but finally got into CouchSurfing in 2010. My first official couchsurfing experience was staying with some awesomely cool people in chicago that year. I learned first hand just how welcoming and generous the couchsurfing community can be. I hope to be able to repay my couchsurfing debt by being a host myself soon.

Interests

I love just about anything creative.
My main hobbies are cycling, music (crappy guitar player, learning banjo), records, baseball, knitting, shooting, movies, cooking, and a lot more!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've yet to find a movie I didn't enjoy. Even the crappiest films can be made awesome with some beers, a group of friends, and creative minds making fun of it along the way.

I don't read much (working on that). But I do love the classics. Animal Farm has been a favorite since I was a kid. Also The Outsiders, Tex, The Book of Salt, Harry Potter, and more that I can't think of.

I love music! I prefer acoustic the most, but have found some amazing electronic bands this past year. Favorite band, if I had to pick one, Margot & The Nuclear So & So's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(work in progress)

Teach, Learn, Share

Although its a dying art (or even possibly dead by the time you read this), the skills of a projectionist are impossible to recreate with the giant digital projectors in most theatres today. 35mm film is beautiful. It also easily damaged. A trained eye and steady hands are needed to project the film on to the screen with the best presentation possible and taking care to ensure the print is not harmed. I was a projectionist for 7 years and I loved every minute of it.
