ABOUT ME

Student in political studies, I'm curious and willingful to talk and share my point of view on everything. Politics, shrimp market in South VietNam, Economics, music (I am a trombonist), anything.

I hate to be too serious. My first aim in joining Couch Surfing is to save some money that I could spend somewhere else (how original), and of course enjoy the extended knowledge of my hosts/guests and have good times in a new place.

Its actually the first time I have to summarize my "life". Tssss, not easy.
Oh yes, one thing. I've always been traveling around in France, my home country, so it was difficult to fill up the "hometown" part. Im a student in the very 'studentful' city of Rennes, have family in the East and South of France, when my parents live around Paris, and my brother in Viet Nam (for the moment).

He and I often take our backpack and hit the road for unexpected destinations, the lattest being Jordan, Palestine and Israel. You can have a look (in french, soon in english) of this experience on my blog (cf address in profile info) and have a look to the pics as well.

I've always been living with flatmates at home and abroad, so I'm a quite easy-living guy and know how to adapt with people living around me. And I don't snore.

PHILOSOPHY

"I bet you can't host 99 people in ur place mate"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new in this community, and even though it took me a while to register, I fully support this kind of initiative and really want to benefit from it, and make people enjoy it !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just came back from Pomorie, Bulgarie, where i spent three days on a psychonaut couch, and it was fantastic. I know have a really positive point of view on couch surfing : enhancing budget and cultural journeys around the world. I'm now back in Istanbul, fresh and happy :)

edit: got in Tbilisi to Data's place, and again a wonderful experience.

Interests

I would say firstly environment and ecology, a field on which I'm focusing in my studies. I'm also involving myself in local actions, workshops with teenagers, activism, awareness campaigns etc... I like it and I will probably work for it.

Then sport (I swim a lot, volley, snowboarding, windsurfing, kayaking... and paragliding !), music, la Bretagne (french region) !!

And of course meeting and fully enjoy new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : really all kinds, but mainstream R&B. More specifically trip hop, dub, soul, funk, ska orchestra, reggae, experimental, easy listening chillout rock, psychedelic rock (recent addiction)..

books... a bit of litterature and philosophy since its part of my studies, but more likely M.Kundera, I.Kadare, the Magic Bus of Mr Maclean is really nice, A. Perez Reverte...P.Eluard, Aragon, Baudelaire, but not that often :D

Movies as the Guy Ritchie movies, so dynamic and enjoyable, the Tarantinos, the Emir Kusturicas with a special mention to Arizona Dream, the 400 Blows, the other Tati movies, Truffaut as well, some of the Hitchcock. Jarmush, "Darna's children"... and so much else. Lammbock, Rocknrolla.
