About Me

Moi!
Originated from the city of Bochum, Germany, I'm currently settling over to live with my girlfriend in Turku, Finland.
I used to be a carpenter and still quite into wood works and arty projects.
I'm very interested in nature and herbs are a big hobby of mine. I gather, process and preserve them for food and healing purposes.
I love traveling and outdoor-activities and would like to develop my survival-skills until I'm able to walk huge distances with a minimum of luggage.
I really love cycling and I'm dreaming of travelling all the way from Germany to Finland with my beloved bike one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I love to travel and explore the world like almost everybody else does too.
But I also like to travel as eco-friendly as possible! For this reason I do lot's of hiking and even more ways by bike. And finding an accomodation at someone elses home fit's to this eco-friedlyness very well; we share our place, so we share our resources!
And don't you forget about the social part of couchsurfing! You can learn soooo much from other people. It only takes an open mind and an open heart. Making to know new people, and to learn about their storys is another motivation for me to surf couches!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm so very open to many kind of media, that I find it hard to say what I like the best. I'm cultural quite flexible and I can open my self to so many way's of being, and to many kinds of music and films and books and arts.
But I love Folk Music ever since. That's a pretty rare, longlasting cultural constant I have in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a little about almost every topic and I as well love to listen to other's storys. I like to learn new stuff, so would call my self pretty curious. So I think I might be good company for most of the people. :D
I can play guitar a bit and I can sing... If there is a guitar, we could try make a little music together, if you'd like to.
I also became a quite a capable cook meanwhile. Mostly vegetarian, low carb and glutenfree, but that's for my girl... I eat everything. Even thou I prefer to avoid meat.
Oh! And I'm a carpenter as well, I almost forgot! I can of course try to repair your furniture, doors and everything else. While it is of course depending a lot on the available tools what I can do for you.
Or we could do some painting or sculptures, or what ever art-stuff.
