Technically I live in Des Moines area, but I travel a lot so most weekends I am not here. I love traveling, finding off the wall places , roadtrips, music, farmers markets, fairs, art (I paint but as a hobby), crafts, most sports (AO member). I have a wide of interests and enjoy getting to know new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use to travel using couchsurfing, but these days I tend to travel with others so we use something else. I am not able to host, but hopefully that will change. I love meeting new people either here in dsm or when I am on the road.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Any and All! Use to operate a small music venue and fell in love with music. Right now listen to a lot of singer song writers, but listen to rock, classical, classics, some Pop and Rap but probably older stuff. Right now loving: Frank Turner, Matt Nathanson, William Elliott Whitmore, David Wax Museum, Old 97s, Skinny Lister, Damiin Suomi (he doesnt seem to do much these days but I am stuck).

Books: lots of business books, marketing etc. I love anything on neuroscience. I will geek out on it. Celestine Prophecies remains a favorite. I don't read a lot of fiction but if I do its probably trash. I won't pretend to have good tastes in fiction.

Movies: worst than my taste in fiction. I like really bad movies. Honestly. Elvis movies. Bollywood Movies. Connie and Carla. Off the wall movies. Musicals. Hell I even love Grease 2.

What I Can Share with Hosts

On weekends in dsm I would love meet up show you around or even drive short distances (3 hrs or less). You may be able to talk me into cooking or hosting a small gathering of people for conversation but right now I can't host overnight.
