ABOUT ME

Traveling, meeting new people, tasting new flavors, hearing different stories, being curious about others, is the only way I’ve found to trick the system and feel fulfilled in this crazy world. It’s also the way I think human beings can actually practice tolerance by understanding that there’s always something that’s common to each and every single person in this planet. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, grew up in Margarita Island untilI finished high school. After that I’ve lived in France (Ardeche), the U. S (Utah), Spain (Canary Islands) and Argentina (Buenos Aires). Traveling is my life and my passion, my budget is always low but I know for a fact that traveling is not for rich and is never as expensive as people think, money is just an excuse and all you need is the motivation and courage to experience it! Will gladly help anyone who needs information or advise about any of the places I’ve lived in, or info about programs like family exchanges, work & travel, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a reason, and usually for the better. Lost the train to the next city? Couldn't get in time for that show? Don't be to hard on yourself, and just enjoy circumstances. Breath in every moment as if that's the only way you will keep it in your memories, enjoy every second. Be appreciative and grateful for everything and everyone you meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, none, my mom and cousin have done it a few times, always without problems. I know I'll be doing it sooner than later.

Interests

Studying international realtions, I'm interested in international politics, history and languages. I'm also about tasting and experiencing everything that's original and autothonous of the places I visit. Like reading, dancing and having fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, rock! Love rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's (of course, The Beatles). Like indie music, also music that reminds me of my roots, salsa and merengue. Love reggae, especially first albums from Marley and the Wailers. Movies, too many favorites to put them on a list, I don't usually like horror movies. Books, I read a lot of history and politics theory, but I also enjoy good novels from authors like Gabriel García Marquez, Vargas LLosa, Isabel Allende, and love fantasy, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in 5 different countries during the past 5 years, making amazing friends, watching amazing landscapes and learning lots of things. Picking one, I would say spending two winter seasons in Park City Utah, skiing everyday and learning a sport you could never practice in my hometown were there has never been snow.

I guess I could teach my knowledge in history and politics, I'm not a big voice on the matter, but I've been reading and learning about international politics for 4 years. Can teach things about traditions from the countries I've lived in.
