Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not had the opportunity to travel much during my professional life. I am only now discovering the existence of Couchsurfing.
I'm taking English classes to enable me to travel. I have an intermediate level. My first aim is to practice speaking English. I first want to visit London and the other European capital cities.
I'm easygoing, sociable, friendly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

More like a misadventure.
My son is on Erasmus in Trondheim Norway. I went alone to visit him in February (in the snow). I didn't speak a word of English. Obviously the luggage didn't follow me and was left at the Amsterdam stopover. Hard to manage. Then the whole week visiting Trondheim, magnificent but very frustrating not to be able to communicate. Without the language you feel really handicapped. That's why i'm currently learning English.
