I'm a traveller, who really like to visit other countries, learning new lenguages, and having fun with people like me, who like to discover new places and make visite their places.

I'm from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, south western France close to Spain.
Now I live in Metz (Lorraine), eastern France, for my new job. So, my holidays are often in Central Europe and Balkans now, mostly by Inter Rail 😎

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people and share good vibes in a travelling context. I really like to visit new places and make visits of my city.

I live in Montigny-les-Metz, close to Metz and its Central Station (15 minutes by bus, 25 minutes by walking).

I love travelling, hear about travels and foreign lenguages, that's why I'm here 😎
I use to cook, so I can make you discover my dishes if you come to my home or if I come to your home (south western french duck 🦆, chilean pan con palta 🥑 ... )
I practise full body renforcement and swing dance. I also like a lot of different kinds of music, especially folk rock songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

FUNNIEST TRAVELLING ANECDOTES :

🇭🇺🇷🇸 Border between Hungary and Serbia, september 2024 :
I crossed by Flixbus from Budapest to Novi Sad. At the border control, the police man had difficulties to register my ID. He tried many times. Finally, he gave it to a coworker, who tried again. And then, they told us to wait. Why ? Because the system was out of order. Half of the people from the bus were already in the other side. Apparently, their IDs / passeports had no problem. We waited more than one hour for the system to work again. So, I'm not 100% sure, but, I seriously think that my old and non practical french ID put their checking system out of order for more than one hour !

🇷🇸 Novi Sad (SRB), september 2024 :
At the train station, I was waiting to buy my bus ticket to Sombor. I asked 2 teens girls whose job was giving information if I was in the good place (I had serious doubts). They only answered me "No English". Finally, they were old people behind me who indicated the bus station with some english words and their hands. Funny thing 😁 Thanks to them, I managed to get my bus, at last minute !

🇧🇬 Plovdiv (BG), march 2023 :
My arrival in Plovdiv, in a referenced youth hostel which was open, but still abandonned : the door felt when I opened. Inside, it was a mess but it really looked like a hostel, with a reception (empty) and a drinks distributor. No one was inside, but there was stuff proving that some people were living there. They were in fact no humans inside, but only cats at the entrance outside 🐈🐈‍⬛😹
Did you already try to check-in in a hostel managed by cats ?

🇭🇺🇸🇰 Esztergom (H) and Šturovo (SK), may 2022 :
After my visit of Esztergom, I crossed a Duna bridge to enter in Šturovo, where I had to take a train to go back to Budapest by Nagymaros side to see the famous Visegrad's forteress. I was so surprised by the local people. Why ? They only speak magyar (hungarian) in this slovakian town 😳. Even my hair cutter (I was enough crazy to make cut my hair there 😁). Fortunately, I had some magyar screenshots, including the numbers 👍🏻

🇵🇪 Cuzco (PE), june 2016 :
Visit of the top of Cusco (4 km altitude) by horse riding, having 2 local kids as guides.
At the beginning, they left me alone in the middle of nowhere to pick up more guests. But they didn't tell me ! So, I had time to ask myself if I'd better get down. But what about the horse then ?!
Very nice tour at the top of this pretty andine city. The kids were sons of a man who told me about this tour near a church I visited. It means that it was not foreseen for me to make this gorgeous horse riding tour. This man was an artcraft worker. Then, he even brought me one of his homemade objects in the hostel where I stayed.

🇹🇷 My 17th birthday in Cappadoccia (TR), may 2012 :
After a great tour by air ballon in the wonderful Cappadoccia, we landed particularly : the ballon felt down when it touched the floor ! We laughed a lot and had a surprise : there was Champagne then, served to us 🥂. It was the early morning of my 17th birthday 😆

OTHERS :

🇲🇪 Between Budva and Kotor (MNE), september 2024 :
More than 2 hours by bus instead of 30 minutes, because it rained heavely and the road was very flooded. Even though, the bus driver was going very fast in the huge puddles, with his cell phone always in one hand 😶

🇷🇸 Week in Serbia, september 2024 :
My hosts organised my serbian trip from the whole week I stayed there. Sometimes, they even call one another for that. Great !
Hvala 😊

🇷🇸 The grey cat of Yougoland, Subotica (SRB), september 2024 :
Hosted by the manager of this project, I spent a full day cooking the meal with fire. And a grey cat, who apparently came to their home, was always wanting human's attention. But, she had no name. I proposed to my host to call her Titine. Because, Titine was a very cute black angora cat with yellow eyes I adopted when I was 12. She was living 10 houses further than mine, and decided to leave it and coming to mine. She really liked human's contact and lived 17 years with us (more than 20 for her whole life). My Titine died in july 2024. So, naming the grey cat of Yougoland like this was as if I was giving a second life to her. Lovely story 😊

🇵🇱 Poznán (PL), may 2024 :
Being lucky to begin my holiday week there arriving the day of my birthday, corresponding to Majowca, and being invited by my host to have a nice bbq party near the river with her friends. I added my birthday to Majowca 🎊😁

🇸🇰 My arrival in Bratislava (SK), january 2024 :
After skiing in Tirol and visiting Vienna, I reached Bratislava by 1 hour by train from Wien HBF. I arrived by Petrzalka train station, in the middle of huge monuments from soviets times. It was sunny but the wind was very crazy ! Even if it was difficult to walk with my luggage, especially while crossing the Duna Bridge with the strong wind, I was fascinated by this "open air contrast" city, mixing soviets buildings, a very cute old town and new modern monuments 🤩

🇵🇱🇫🇷 Between Szczecin (PL) and Metz (F), june 2023 :
Kamil hosted me in Szczecin, at the end of my 7th Inter Rail through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. When I reached his place, we talked 5 min and directly had very good vibes. He asked me if he can come to my place 4 days then with his girlfriend. 4 days then, they were at my place in Montigny les Metz for a long week-end 😎

🇧🇬 Ruse and surroundings (BG), march 2023 :
Visiting Ruse and the trogloditic monasteries Ivanovo and Basarbovo with my host Martin, his best friend, an other couchsurfer italo-swiss and the crazy march weather : cold wind in the morning, then warm sun, then snow 😹 (everything in a same day !)

🇷🇴 Videle (RO), march 2023 :
After a night train trip from Budapest, I stopped a whole morning in this town between Bucureşti and Ruse. I had to wait 4 hours for the only daily train to enter Bulgaria. There was a terribly cold wind and wild dogs running after the wheels of the cars. I took refuge in a dark café where some men were drinking rosé wine at 8 am ! One of them was already completely drunk, shouting "ROSÉ ! ROSÉ !"

🇩🇪 Hannover (D), september 2021 :
Arriving in Hannover, I asked my way to 2 local girls with my german beginner level and ... französisch accent ! They directly answered me in french 😅

🇵🇪 Puno (PE), june 2016 :
Visit of Uros Islands on the Titicaca's Lake close to Puno with a native of these islands met in the harbour. More authentical than the turistic drakars. And then, sharing lunch with his family in one of these very particular islands.

🇨🇱🇦🇷 Through Chile and Argentina (CL, AR), august and september 2015 :
I travelled by myself for the 1st time of my life, through the great and so diversified landscapes of Chile and Argentina. I was only 20 yo. Great experience 😎

🇪🇦 Cantabria (E), june 2011 :
Linguistic spanish classes in Santander for 2 weeks, hosted by a very nice family in Cueto, a very cute neighbourhood with village vibes. They had 2 kids from my age. I'm still in touch with them since, and went back to visit them every one or two years. It was my 1st super nice experience with locals in a foreign country, even if I was already a teen.

🇮🇹 My 13th birthday in Firenze, Toscana (I), may 2008 :
I was there in a school journey organised, with other teens from my school. I didn't tell about my birthday, happening at the beginning of this travel. Others remined about it and told it loudly. So, I was treated to an unexpected collective birthday song 🎊

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak french 🇫🇷 (mother tongue), spanish 🇪🇸 (especially chilean 🇨🇱) and english 🇬🇧 (fluently). I learn italian 🇮🇹 and german 🇩🇪 (I love austrian accent 🇦🇹), and some words of everywhere I go travelling.
Guests and hosts : I can help you in French if you learn it 😉

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dear hosts, I can bring you typical food from Nouvelle-Aquitaine (where I'm from) or Lorraine (where I live). I can also cook you my typical dishes or inviting you for a drink 🍻
